Shamrocks Add Tyler Burton to Roster

The Victoria Shamrocks are excited to announce the return of long-time fan favourite Tyler Burton for the remainder of 2025. Burton will join the club on the road on Wednesday in Langley, and is expected to play at the Shamrocks’ next home game on Friday against New Westminster.

Burton, a 6’ 1”, 210 lb. right-handed defender who also specializes in face offs, played with the Shamrocks for eight seasons between 2013 and 2022 before moving to Alberta with his family. He played with the Edmonton Miners in Senior B lacrosse during their last two President’s Cup bids. In his previous stint with the Shamrocks, he was a four-time WLA champion and he was a key contributor on the 2015 Mann Cup championship team.

I'm thrilled to welcome back Tyler Burton to our team,” said Shamrocks head coach Mike Simpson, “He brings a physical element to our defense and offers us another weapon in the face off circle. Tyler is a proven leader on our team and without question bleeds green.”

The Shamrocks will take their 6-1-1 records on the road on Wednesday, in pay-per-view webcast action against the Langley Thunder (4-5-0) before returning home Friday night to take on the New Westminster Salmonbellies (8-0-0) at 6:45pm at The Q Centre.
