Shamrocks Announce Leadership Group in Advance of Home Opener

The Victoria Shamrocks have officially announced their leadership group for the 2026 WLA season, naming veteran Marshal King as team captain.

Joining King as alternate captains are Cole Pickup, Dallas Wade, Zach Manns, and Nick Preston.

The leadership group brings together some of the most respected and accomplished players in the game, giving the Shamrocks a veteran core that combines championship experience, professionalism, and leadership both on and off the floor.

“Marshal represents everything we want the Victoria Shamrocks to stand for,” said head coach Bruce Alexander. “He grew up watching the Shamrocks and has the unique opportunity to follow his brother as our new captain.  Marshal  has earned the respect of his teammates in our room and understands the responsibility that comes with wearing the Shamrocks jersey.”

The alternate captains provide the Shamrocks with an experienced and battle-tested leadership group.

The Shamrocks enter the 2026 season with high expectations as they pursue a WLA championship and another opportunity to compete for the Mann Cup.

Victoria opens the season on May 22nd at the Q Centre.
