Trade Alert: Shamrocks Acquire Pilcher from Nanaimo

The Victoria Shamrocks are excited to announce the completion of a trade with Nanaimo that sees the WLA playing rights of Luke Pilcher come to Victoria, along with future considerations; in exchange for the rights to Kaden Granberg, along with future considerations.

Pilcher, a 6’ 0” left-handed offensive player, has played two previous seasons in the WLA. In 2024 he was with the New Westminster Salmonbellies, and in 2025 he led the league in power play goals with the Nanaimo Timbermen. He is expected to join the green and white in early June.

“We’re excited to add Luke to our group,” said Shamrocks General Manager Chris Welch in a statement. “Even though he’s from Oakville, he grew up dreaming of playing for the Shamrocks, like his older brother Dan MacRae.”

“He’s excited to get this opportunity to continue his lacrosse career and our fans are going to love the energy he brings every shift.”
