The Shamrocks have experience on their side with General Manager Chris Welch heading into his 10th WLA draft, "we are always excited by the anticipation of adding new talent to our group. For me personally it is a real honour and privilege to select and welcome new senior A Shamrocks who have worked so hard and dreamed about that moment for their whole lives. I have seen what it means not just for them but for their families and the emotion that it brings. I expect this year's draft will help make us stronger for many years to come."
The Mann Cup is back in BC for 2017 with the Shamrocks recently hosting the week long event in 2013 and 2015, winning a 9th Championship in 2015.
