                             On June 26th and 27th Western Lacrosse continued a long running tradition, holding their annual Tyke Jamboree. This fun, two day round robin tournament gives all seven Association teams a chance to play with each other.

Rather then concentrating on the competitive aspects of the game, the focus was to give the participants, ages 6 and 7, a sense of accomplishment to their season, meet up with previous teammates and make new friends.  This year it was with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Deb Cooper (Nov 2009). We lost one of our very special volunteers and Registrar of Western Lacrosse. The Jamboree was renamed this year in her honour. The Jamboree was on of Deb's loves, as it represented the innocence of the division, emphasized the fun of the game and showed the beginning of developing future lacrosse stars.

The medal ceremony ended with a surprise visit from Shamrocks Paul Dawson and Rocky!
