Shamrocks Mourn the Passing of friend, teammate, mentor & coach.
It is with heavy hearts that the Victoria Shamrocks mourn the passing of one of our own - Chris Hall. Our dear friend, teammate, mentor and coach. “From the very beginning in field lacrosse and in box lacrosse everyone always wanted to play with or for Chris Hall,” said Shamrocks president Jim Hartshorne. “He was always highly respected by everyone and so committed to the Shamrocks and the sport of lacrosse. An amazing guy.”
Chris Hall touched so many lives in this great sport and his relationship with the club spanned his entire life. His father Leon Hall helped found the club in 1950, the year Chris was born. Chris spent 19 seasons, nine as a player and ten as coach, with the Shamrocks and was part of three Mann Cup championship teams, in 1979 as a player and 1983 and 1999 as coach. While he achieved tremendous success at the professional and international levels of the sport, Chris was always a Shamrock at heart. The Shamrocks will always be grateful for the tremendous contributions that Chris and his family have made to our team and sport.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Chris’ family and friends - there will be an empty seat at Shamrock Games, but we know Chris will be watching us - safe travels Coach!
