Internships
GAME DAY AND FAN EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR
Student must be interested in learning all facets of promotions, elements of event management and extreme multitasking. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating fun, aren’t afraid to laugh at themselves and an interest in contributing to game day concepts and games. Primary focus is creating a fun and engaging game day experience for fans as well as sponsors.
Rough Scope of Primary Duties:
- Executing game day promotions and fan activations
- Working with Partnerships and Sponsorships Intern to ensure proper execution
- Collaborate with team members to grow and enhance game day programming and activities
- Plan and execute game day logistics
- Social Media posts for game day related activities and promotions
- Writing game day script
- Coordinating with PA Announcer, DJ, mascot and other game day staff for special promotions etc
- Liaise with any sponsors or non-profits on site for the game
- Work with Communications Intern to ensure proper pre-promotion of game activities and events
- Work with Director of Game Day Operations to ensure coordination of all promotions
- Facilitate game day meetings advising game day staff of all activities, promotions for the game
- Work with Director of Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator to assess game needs for volunteers
- Conduct intermission promotional contests
- Assist with Communications and Partnerships Interns as needed, and administrative duties.
Secondary Duties or other Projects of interest. (candidate dependant):
- Support non-game day events with the Shamrocks
- In -game hosting

Learning outcomes:
Student will be responsible for creating the fan experience. They will participate in development from concept to creation and be expected to actively provide input and ideas for the purpose of sales and entertainment-based promotions. In addition to exposure to the marketing and promotions side, the student will learn how to run events (game day) including logistics, people management and take away tools to keep organized in such situations. The ideal candidate will have no problem standing in front of a crowd, dressing in costumes, working long hours and providing an exemplary fan experience.
Student will act as a representative of the team and will also be exposed to sponsors, media personalities (and outlets), major sponsors and community organizations on a daily basis and expected to act in a professional manner at all times.

PARTNERSHIPS AND SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR
Student must be interested in the business side of sports and learning how to manage, support and maintain partnership and community relations. The student will be responsible for working with all departments to make sure that all deliverables have been met to the highest standard. The Partnership and Sponsorship Coordinator plays a key role in keeping the team connected with the community.
Rough Scope of Primary Duties
Work with General Manager to coordinate sponsor elements
Work with all departments to ensure all aspects of partner contracts are executed to a high standard
Work with the team to manage any partner requests
Liaise with sponsors as required to manage partner requests
Assist with Social Media content, ensure sponsor elements are met
Work with game day coordinator to help execute partner elements and provide game day scripting for sponsors
Create postseason performance packages
Capture executed contract elements
Proactively contact sponsors for collateral, anticipate needs
Assisting with game day and administrative duties
Secondary Duties or other Projects of interest. (candidate dependant)
Selling small sponsorship packages (opportunity to make commission)
Requirements/skills:

Learning outcomes:
Student will be exposed to the business and sales side of sports and learn how to work to represent the best interests of all the involved parties. A strong emphasis will be in developing tools and systems to keep organized. The ideal candidate will have an interest in learning how to diversify communication styles, prioritize and manage time. The student will learn how to assess and report the success of partnership performance, as well as develop postseason packages for presentation to partners.
