Mann Cup Champion Aaron Bold Joins Shamrocks Coaching Staff

The Victoria Shamrocks are excited to welcome Aaron Bold back to the club as the Goalie Coach for the 2026 season.

"I'd like to welcome Aaron back to the Shamrocks and to our coaching staff," said Head Coach Bruce Alexander. "He's well-respected in all aspects of the game and I look forward to working with him. I think our goalies will grow through his knowledge and experience. He's a great addition to our team."

Bold was drafted by the Shamrocks in 2007, and achieved a major milestone for box lacrosse players by winning the rare "triple crown" of championships in 2015 — an NLL Championship with Edmonton, a Mann Cup Championship with the Shamrocks, and a World Box gold medal with Team Canada alongside teammate Ryan Dilks.

“Winning the Mann Cup in 2015 with the Senior Shamrocks was a defining moment in my career,” said Bold in a statement. “Returning now as a goalie coach brings everything full circle, and I’m honoured for the opportunity to pass on that championship experience while continuing to build a strong winning culture within the organization.”

Beyond his Canadian senior box career, Bold played 17 seasons in the National Lacrosse League. He currently serves as goalie coach for the Las Vegas Desert Dogs, a role he will continue to hold alongside his new position with the Shamrocks.

The Shamrocks open their season at home on May 22nd with season tickets still available at victoriashamrocks.com.
