Victoria Shamrocks Acquire Faceoff Specialist Tyrell Hamer-Jackson in Trade with Langley

The Victoria Shamrocks of the Western Lacrosse Association announced today that the club has acquired faceoff specialist Tyrell Hamer-Jackson from the Langley Thunder in exchange for the Shamrocks' third-round selection in the 2027 WLA Draft and future considerations.

Hamer-Jackson, 31, is widely regarded as one of the elite faceoff specialists in the Western Lacrosse Association, bringing a proven track record and veteran experience to the Shamrocks' lineup. A product of Kamloops, BC, he was originally drafted by Maple Ridge, but is better known for several seasons with the New Westminster Salmonbellies. He also competes at the professional level with the Las Vegas Desert Dogs of the National Lacrosse League.

"Tyrell has been one of, if not the top faceoff guy in the WLA for several years and it instantly turns it from an area of need to a strength for us," said General Manager Chris Welch. "In addition he's a great team guy who adds a lot of enthusiasm and energy to our group."

Single-game tickets are now on sale at victoriashamrocks.com. The Shamrocks open the 2026 season at home on May 22nd against the Coquitlam Adanacs - fans won't want to miss the first look at their revamped roster at The Q Centre.
